Sarah Van Anden is committed to expanding participation in the arts and fostering community among cultural professionals. For 15+ years, she has supported, designed, and managed cultural projects for audiences from 5 to 50,000. She has diverse experience in program design, museum engagement, collection & archive management, communications, fundraising, strategic philanthropy, and nonprofit administration. Currently the Executive Director of the Museum Association of New York (MANY), Sarah previously worked as Programs & Finance Director at the Center for Curatorial Leadership, as a Program Officer with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and as Board Treasurer and Vice President of AIGA NY. Sarah received her M.A. in the History of Art from Williams College, where she focused on art collecting in early modern Europe. She began higher education at the Community College of Philadelphia before completing her B.A. at Temple University and Tyler School of Art with a dual major in History and Art History.
